Boots, Wraps or Chaps?
Why use boots, wraps or chaps?
Horse boots, wraps and chaps are used for a variety of reasons, from turnout to competition and everything in between. If a horse trips when out hacking, has poor conformation, a previous injury such as a splint or is susceptible to a condition such as mud fever, fitting your horse with a set of boots, wraps or chaps will offer your horse an invaluable layer of extra protection.
Wraps
- Designed for soft, flexible protection and support during exercise
- Combine the support offered by an exercise bandage and the convenience of a boot
- Offer flexible protection that moulds to the exact contours of the horse's legs allowing complete freedom of movement
- Eliminates rubs and chaffing caused by hard, ill fitting boots
- Wraps are ideal for flatwork schooling and hacking
Chaps
- Designed to offer your horse's legs extra protection during turnout
- Chaps extend down over the pastern, coronary band and sensitive heel area to provide extra protection to these vulnerable areas
- 3 versions are available, allowing you to choose the best option for your horse:
Equi-Chaps Close Contact Chaps - to help prevent mud fever
Equi-Chaps Hardy Chaps - to help prevent leg injury during turnout
Equi-Chaps Stable Chaps - to keep legs warm and protected in the stable - not suitable for turnout
- Chaps are not suitable for use during ridden work
Boots
- Designed to offer superb, flexible protection during exercise - from flatwork to jumping
- Tri-zone boots are extremely hardwearing, incorporating a durable strike pad on the inside where contact between the horse's legs may occur. This makes them especially suitable for horses that brush, offering increased levels of protection and avoidance of injury
- Perfect for every day, every horse and every discipline
