Dan in Germany
Dan was in fantastic form on the last day of the Bremen CSI*** International show with two high class third place finishesAfter a string of excellent placing's at the show, Dan and Varo M put up a superb display to finish 3rd in the Grand Prix. Varo M showed his well being on the Saturday, and over this big and technical 1.55m track he looked at his very best finishing just behind Jeroen Dubbeldam riding BMC Utascha SFN and Mario Stevens riding Corlanda OLD. Varo M is taking these Grand Prix level tracks in his stride and is close to winning a very big class. " He was top class today" said Dan "That was a big and technical track and with every International clear he is adding to his experience. He deserves to win a very nice class and I'm sure if he keeps showing this level of performance it won't be far away" added Dan. Dan's new ride Murkas Rupert R gave Dan the perfect finish to an excellent show with a quality third place in the 1.50m International jump off class. After an excellent flawless first round, Dan and "Rupert" were even better in the jump off just failing to catch Henrik von Eckermann - Gut Neuenhofs Bacarole and Sandra Carlsson - Tom Jones. Dan and his new charge are certainly starting to look a quality combination despite the fact that they have only been together for a couple of weeks. "Rupert was in top form today. His jumping was quick and accurate today and he's been in good form throughout the show. Really looking forward to the summer with him" said Dan.Dan in "Attack" mode on first day at Breman CSI Horse Show After Dan and new ride Murkas Rupert R had put up a very good performance of jumping in the 1.40m International Class finishing clear with one time fault, Dan and Attack II produced a very eye catching performance in the big 1.50m class. After a very smooth fault free first round, Dan and Attack II were equally impressive in the jump off finishing in a time of 37.20secs to finish a very close forth behind Niklaus Schurtenberger. This was the biggest class Attack has jumped this year and he showed he's a horse very much on the upgrade. "That was very pleasing" said Dan "We thought we'd step him up tonight as he's been in very good form, and he performed above our expectations. Hopefully he can maintain this level of form for the rest of the show. Rupert again jumped very sound, still get to know him, but he's a class horse and it shouldn't be long before we click" added Dan. Attack & Murkas Rupert R Take Good Form into Day TwoDan and team carried on their excellent form into day two of the Breman International horse show with a string of good performances. Varo M jumped the big class of the day and showed his well being with an excellent round of showjumping over this big 1.50m track. With time for this big track very tight, Dan and Varo M just failed to get inside the time and finished with one time fault. Attack II again looked in fine form and jumped another flawless round in the 1.50m evening class finishing just outside the top twelve. Murkas Rupert R jumped the last class of the day and put in yet another excellent performance jumping clear in a time of 52.37sec to finish a very good seventh place."They all jumped very well today" said Dan "Varo M was very unlucky to pick up a time fault, he jumped great and I'm very pleased with him. Attack has been in great form at the show and again felt really good. Rupert flowed around the track, we're getting used to each other and I'm sure it won't be long before we win a nice class" |
