Brett grew up in a small country town called Dorrigo, NSW. When Brett was growing up his father was regularly breaking horses professionally for various applications such as campdrafting, cutting and polocrosse and his days consisted of mucking out, tacking up, un tacking, riding and training, competing at major shows and then moved on to rodeo.
After 11 years of rodeo riding Brett moved on to dressage and rode Vicki Brydon’s mare Liebling as well as training with Other great trainers such as Doug Green, Miguel Tavora, Barbara Shields and Clemens Dierks.
Brett’s new challenge is to hone his skills and work on becoming a world class dressage coach. Currently he holds the position as Dressage advisor to the Australian Eventing Program, however he is always looking to improve his coaching skills both through the NCAS program, and through his own personal development as a rider and competitor. Breyy would like to look beyond the general format of equestrian (dressage) coaching and delve into the science of some of our more researched sports.
Brett’s Notable Achievements

• 12 Australian Championships
