Emily is very keen carriage driver, 18 years old and currently competing with a Welsh section C stallion, Crossfield Glory aka Jack.
She has been successful across a whole range of carriage driving activities. Jack is currently the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Best Section C, and Supreme Driving Champion in their performance scheme, also winning their outstanding achievement award.
This year they have won two International bronze medals – one in April and the other at the International Channel Cup competition where they also won the individual Derby Cup for the best marathon section with cones out of 46 competitors.
Previously they convincingly won the dressage for the 18-25 year old class at the BHDTA Young Drivers Championships at Escrick Park and after going clear in the cones with just 2 time penalties, stormed the obstacles and 16km course to take the class in under 100 penalties overall and become a National Champion.
Emily says ‘My stallion is also the Welsh Le Trec Reserve Champion and we have been very successful in Private Driving winning several championships including Supreme Champion at Hereford Carriage Show, one of the biggest in the country’.
As well as competing, Emily is currently saving to go to Aberystwyth University to take up a bursary in the equine department.
