OUR WINNER FOR JANUARY TO MARCH 2018

Harriet Holland

Harriet is a 15 year old rider juggling her GCSE’s and Eventing her 15.2hh 8 year old Connemara x TB Penhill All Dun Up, aka Jessie. Having trained Jessie herself, they have gone on to qualify for the Badminton Mitsibishi Motors cup in 2018 and have gone on to ride her first BE Novice.
Harriet’s Story
When I got Penhill All Dun Up aka Jessie she had only hunted and completed a few BE90s. I have carefully produced her over this past year to get some amazing results including:

5th Oasby BE90
2nd Hambledon international BE100
6th Offchurch BE105
1st Swalcliffe NSEA100
1st Stonar NSEA100
2nd Pony Club intermediate area dressage (team 1st)
3rd Pony Club intermediate area eventing (team first)
2nd Goring BE100 Regional Final
2nd Dauntsey Nu18 (!!) both horse and riders first and a 29 double clear in a tough section
After Badminton I will be competing at more Novice events and I hope to get on the National u18 teams at 1* and then begin training for the junior trials at 1*/2* which after this season and our great success I truly believe this is possible.

Harriet says

“I’m a dedicated and committed person who always strives for the best I can possibly do. I’m not the stereotypical u18 eventer, I do everything myself, feed and ride before school then muck out after. This will be a challenge in my GCSE year but I think I can cope! My parents aren’t horsey but I am very fortunate that they still support me and drive me to events.”

We are delighted to be able to support Harriet for the season ahead an d look forward to sharing her progress!
