The inspiration behind the Field Relief Horse Fly Rug
Research that the colour yellow repels flies is the inspiration behind the Field Relief Fly Rug*. It is a full fly rug with yellow coloured mesh with orange and black binding, and fits in seamlessly with our new and updated Field Relief Fly Masks to keep your horse protected from sun, dirt and those pesky flies from the tips of their noses all the way to their tails! It is also a UV fly rug to ensure horses are protected from not only the flies, but the suns rays too.
Features of the Field Relief Fly Rug:
The fit:
This full fly rug features a number of adjustable straps on the neck, chest and belly flap. Therefore, this helps you get the perfect fit for your horse. The stretch hood sits nicely over the ears and incorporates a hole for the forelock. In addition, the elasticated straps allow your horse to have the freedom to move his head as he grazes without restriction.
Horses move a lot in the field as they graze. For this reason, we have incorporated an anti-rub lining down the neck, over the withers and on the chest.
The belly flap of this full fly rug extends over the majority of horse’s midsection. This keeps it fly free and if you own a grey or coloured horse, it helps keep them clean too! The belly flap can be altered to fit a range of horses with three adjustable, elastic sliders on each side.
The Field Relief Fly Rug has a long tail flap with a plastic covered fillet string. This allows the rug to be put on and taken off quickly. It is also easy to wash and more hygienic than traditional string due to its plastic covering, and can be taken off easily using the clips.
UV Protective Mesh:
The mesh in this UV fly rug not only helps keep the flies away, but it also provides protection from the sun. Therefore, this helps to prevent bleaching, which can be useful for those darker coloured horses in the summer months. The lightweight and breathable mesh makes it comfortable for horses to wear all day or night.

Best flyrug for hotweather
August 2020 between 30-35 degrees & my horse still fine !
Didn’t sweat a lot in it which normally attracts lots of flyIng insects
& makes his sweet itch worse .
Give this flyrug 5* rating

Absolutely love this rug! Got one as a free gift with the massage pad and loved it so much I got one for my other horse! It fits my 2 very differently shaped horses perfectly as there is loads of room for adjustability. I have also noticed how much cooler they stay in this rug .They used to come in sweating in other fly rugs but now they remain cool even in the hottest weather which definitely helps keep the flies away! Love how much coverage there is over the body and the neck doesn’t slip back even if their ears fall out and overall a great rug.

I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say how thrilled I am with my Field Relief Rug I bought in the recent Bank Holiday sale preview.
Victor has 5 fly rugs, one is too thick and rigid, the other so thin & flimsy it clings to him & looks very uncomfortable, the other rubs his withers, another is so thin it rips if he so much as scratches himself and the final one has a belly flap that is so big it rubs his sheath and worse still he gets a “bit stuck” when he tries to wee and ends up pee’ing all over his belly! The Field Relief has solved all of these issues and I can finally turn him out content that he’s comfortable and protected. He can be fussy around his head so I wasn’t sure how he’d get on with the headpiece but he doesn’t mind at all and helps keep his fly mask on.
As a fan of your products (Victor has approx 20+ pairs of Stretch and Flex training wraps and TriZone sports that he’s been wearing since he was 3, grown out off etc, and when still unbalanced wore for turnout, and now wears a fresh set everyday for exercise) I was really keen to try to the rug but was struggling to warrant adding to his collection in case it wasn’t the answer I was looking for, so the sale was too good an opportunity to miss. Now only wish I’d got one sooner, ordered two and that they were available smaller to fit Victor’s pony buddy.
Great rug, love it, just wanted to let you know I really appreciate the thought that must have gone in to it.

They are lovely fit and I love the quality of them. All the attachments and clips are great quality so you feel they are going to last and are easy to use. There is lots of adjustment too. They look and feel a really quality rug couldn’t by happier with them. We really like how they fit over the ears it is nice and snug but not restricting so stays in place even when they roll.

JJ suffers from sweet itch and Banjo’s coat has a tendency to get bleached in the sun! I can honestly say that these are the best fly rugs we have used; they provide excellent coverage, fit well and JJ and Banjo have never looked better!
