Tough Turnout Boots for Horses
Hardy Chaps turnout boots for horses protect the leg from knee/hock to heel and can be worn on both front and hind legs. The Equi-Chaps range is designed to provide a simple solution to improve the horse’s welfare throughout the winter months.
The 7mm neoprene, lined on the outside with a textured fabric and with nylon on the inside, is tough on the outside and comfortable on the inside protecting your horse from potential injury. The material is fast drying so they are easy to wash mud off and dry for the following day.
As they help keep legs warm and dry they are ideal for older horses or those with ringbone or arthritis.
The touch and close straps make them secure even around the fetlock joint and they come in an array of sizes to suit the smallest of ponies and the largest of horses.
Equi-Chaps Hardy Chaps are made from tough 7mm neoprene, with a textured outer lining that helps make them resistant to over- reaching, knocks, scuffs and abrasions.
They are perfect for wet or muddy conditions during turnout.
PLEASE NOTE: Hardy Chaps are made from a heavyweight non breathable neoprene. Please take care to limit the length of time that Hardy Chaps are worn in warm weather. Horse owners are advised to regularly check that the horse’s leg is not overheating.

Easily 8 years + old, showing very little wear and tear. Brilliant boots with the best protection for my accident prone show horse.

I bought my horse, Disney a set a couple of years ago as I believed and still do believe they are the best turnout chaps around; as they cover from the knee right down to the heel. (Whereas most other chaps stop just below the fetlock leaving vulnerable areas uncovered!)
Unfortunately last winter whilst Disney was out grazing in his boots he was spooked and entangled his legs in some pig wire fencing. Thankfully he was uninjured only due to him wearing his turnout chaps, but they were badly ripped in the struggle to free himself. I am happy knowing that he will not do any damage to his lower legs or hooves from overreaching due to how thick the Chaps are.
Another reason I swear by your chaps is how well they protect the lower legs from the elements of winter. Being an older horse, Disney often gets stiff joints in the cold, wet weather; but since wearing his chaps he’s like a springbok in this field! He moves freely and fluently even in thick snow and always has dry legs when he comes in at night.
The third reason I love Equi-Chaps is I can fully clip his legs and be at peace of mind knowing his legs are still toasty-warm beneath his chaps and he can still be turned out in the chillier weather.

“I just wanted to say that these are the best turnout boots i have ever bought, if it wasn’t for these boots my horse would have sustained major leg injury’s when she fell down a bank, through a fence and got her legs tangled up in barbed wire! The boots were not salvageable but it just shows that all the tares and rips in the boots could have been my horses skin and could have caused a lot of damage if she wasn’t wearing them! So i am very thankful for the Equi-Chaps Hardy chaps! I’ll definitely be saving up to purchase some more!”

“The Equi-Chaps provide fantastic protection from injury and the best bit is that for the first year ever, not one of my horses has suffered from even the tiniest bit of mud fever. 10/10”

They are one of the most used pieces of equipment in the yard, none of my horses venture out to the fields without them, they are easy to use (much easier then separate brushing/over-reach)”
